Mold Solutions - Naturally!
How long does the process take?
A: It all depends on the size of the job. A typical 2000 square foot space take about 3 hours to apply an ultra-fine mist and will need to be vacant for a minimum of 24 hours.
How do I know the treatment worked for my mold cleaning?
A: We can arrange professional testing and lab work to identify issues that can affect the air quality in your home. The results will help us identify what treatments and services to recommend. We can also arrange post-treatment testing to ensure that the air quality issues have been eliminated.
What do I need to do before you come?
A: First off, before we come for mold cleaning, the source of water that started the mold problem needs to be identified. When we schedule a treatment, we will then provide you with detailed instructions of how to prepare and what to expect.
What about my pets, can they stay in the house while you treat for mold?
A: Pets can't be in the room while we are treating. Once we are done, the room needs to be aired out before they can return to that room. If we do the whole house we would strongly recommend taking your pets elsewhere for the day to allow adequate time after the treatment to properly air out your home.
What about my furniture and electronics?
A: Furniture and electronics are safe and do not need to be moved. Our product does not get anything wet, and the all-natural ingredients in this product will not damage furniture, electronics, paint or any porous surfaces. Having said that, we will still take precautionary measures to protect your home's furniture and electronics by covering them with a thin protective sheet.
Is it harmful to adults, children, or babies?
A: It is not dangerous to people of any age. The solutions that we use are all-natural, safe when used as directed and environmentally friendly.
Will it take the appearance of mold away?
A: Unfortunately, although our product eliminates the mold contamination, alone it does not take away the appearance of mold. However our independent lab will verify through a post test that the mold has been killed. We have contractors that can perform this task as needed.

What does a tick look like?
A: A tick is extremely small, it is only a few millimeters wide. At first glance, a tick looks like an insect, but ticks are not insects. There are some characteristic differences which helps to differentiate between ticks and insects.
The three main differences between insects and ticks are:
- Insects have three body segments, but ticks have two.
- Adult insects have six legs, but adult ticks have eight.
- Insects have wings and antennae, but ticks do not.
Note: Adult ticks have eight legs, but a tick larva has only six.
How big is a tick?
A: Ticks are not large. The size of a tick depends on the life stage of the tick. Especially in their first life stages, ticks are quite small. A tick larva (baby tick) is smaller than a millimeter, but gets three times bigger when it feeds. After a blood meal, the tick larva morphs to a tick nymph. A nymph is about 1 to 1.5 millimeters in size. After a blood meal, the nymph sheds its skin to an adult. The adult stage of the tick is the largest stage. Ticks are then about 3 to 5 millimeters in size. Only the female tick can become as large as a 1 cm after she has fed.
Do ticks make pets itch like fleas do?
A: Ticks don't cause itching so you won't see a tick-infested dog or cat scratching. Also, ticks do not cause allergic dermatitis, so you will not see hot spots with ticks.
Which diseases do ticks spread?
A: Ticks transmit Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, St. Louis Encephalitis, tick paralysis, Tularemia, Cytauxzoonosis, Lyme disease, Canine Ehrlichiosis, Hepatozoonosis, Anaplasmosis, and Babesiosis.
How do ticks attach to pets?
Ticks have sharp mouth parts rather like tiny crab claws. Ticks begin feeding by secreting a numbing chemical so the host doesn't feel their hard, stabbing mouth parts pierce the skin. The mouth parts are barbed so the pet can't scratch or rub to dislodge the tick.
What does a tick bite look like?
A: You can recognize a tick bite by a small red spot that looks like a mosquito bite, which is only an irritation of the skin by the bite. Some people also get allergic reactions around the bite site from mosquito bites or tick bites. Only when one gets infected with the Lyme bacteria, a ring-shaped rash called erythema migraines can develop.
How do ticks feed?
A: Ticks don't digest solids, so they dribble saliva into the wound to dissolve tissues and suck up the blood. The saliva contains enough bacteria and protozoa that ticks are among the most potent disease vectors in the world.
How do I remove ticks from my pet?
A: Ticks literally bury their heads into pet's skin to suck fluids from the pet's body. Don't try to squeeze them. Don't heat them with matches, pour alcohol on them, or slather them with petroleum jelly. Instead, for tick removal, slip a pair of tweezers or tick puller, like Tick Twister, as close to the skin as possible, and gently ease the tick out. GRAB BY THE HEAD, where the tick enters the skin, not by the body. Pull gently and do not twist.
How do I kill ticks?
A: Call us so we can treat your yard and control them! However, should you find a tick inside your home, drop the tick into alcohol to kill it. Flushing down the toilet doesn't kill ticks; it's a sewer theme park ride for them. Don't squish the tick to death with your fingers. Contagious tick-borne diseases are transmitted this way. Instead, drop the tick into a container of alcohol.
How do I treat my pet's skin after removing the tick?
A: Clean the wound with a disinfectant, such as antibacterial soap and water. Expect the wound to heal slowly over a couple of weeks because tick saliva leaves irritated tissue behind. The tiny wound may swell slightly as the pet's white blood cells move in to clean up the debris. White blood cells effectively digest any parts of the tick's head that may have been left behind, so don't worry if you think parts of the head remain. But consult with your veterinarian if it doesn't look right or if you are concerned.
Wash your hands well after any tick contact.
How can I protect my pet from ticks?
A: Call Green Home Solutions!
If I'm using a tick product, why are there ticks on my pet?
A: It takes about 24-48 hours for a tick to absorb a fatal dose of pesticide. After death, some ticks remain attached because their barbed mouth parts don't detach. This can frustrate pet owners who feel the flea & tick product is not effective. It is most effective to kill the tick before it gets on you or your pet and that is why we believe in the barrior treatment to protect both your family and your pets.

Can my children play in the yard during a Mosquito treatment?
A: No. Children and pets cannot play in the yard during a mosquito treatment. Under normal conditions, applications will dry in 30 minutes or less. Therefore, children and pets should be kept away during application and for the following 30 minutes it takes for the treatment to dry. If wet spray comes in contact with the skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water. There should be no danger, but in some individuals a slight rash may occur.
Do I need to be home for the treatments?
A: No, you do not need to be home for the treatments. We will leave an invoice notifying when we were there and that your service has been provided.
Can I just get a one-time treatment for a special outdoor party?
